And we begin with an unvaccinated teenager taking medical matters into his own hands.

Ethan Lindenberger of Ohio says his parents believe preventive shots are unhealthy, unnecessary, and part of a large government scheme.

As a result growing up, his visits to the doctor never included the usual immunizations

for measles, mumps, rubella, chickenpox, hepatitis, or polio.

But the more the high school senior read, the more he disagreed with the anti-vaccine movement.

Ethan then reached out to health experts,

and when he turned 18, got the shots.

Ethan says he didn't disobey his parents out of spite.

He just felt they were misinformed, and he and his parents have since agreed to disagree on the issue.

The World Health Organization calls the anti-vaccine movement a global health threat. A
