Today is Thursday, February 10, 2022, and we begin with a flock of wild turkeys creating

chaos at a NASA research facility. Two dozen of the big birds are making themselves at

home outside the Ames Research Center in Mountain View, California.

In addition to pecking at cars, blocking traffic, and pooping just about everywhere, they

could potentially pose a threat to NASA aircraft.

The space complex is home to the world's largest wind tunnel and motion-based flight simulator.

Once home to just a handful of turkey trespassers, the bird population is increased significantly

in recent years, and it doesn't help that some of the workers are reportedly feeding

their feathered friends. The U.S. Department of Agriculture will try to relocate the birds

to a nearby reserve before nesting season arrives, and the numbers go up even more.

But NASA says if the birds can't be moved safely, they'll figure out a way to live with

them.

This Sunday will be an epic day for sports broadcasting. The Super Bowl is already a huge draw,

but up against it for the first time will be the Winter Olympics, and both are on NBC

and its streaming services. Lots to choose from, but even so, forecasting company predict

HQ expects 117 million viewers to tune in to watch the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Los

Angeles Rams. Three million more than the current record, said in 2015, when the Patriots

played the Seahawks. And that's not the only record that could fall on Sunday.

Weather forecasters are calling for temperatures at LA's SoFi Stadium to reach the mid to

upper 80s, topping the hottest Super Bowl kickoff temp on record 84 degrees, a game that

was also played in Los Angeles back in 1973.
