We begin with Major League Baseball taking some of the bounce out of its balls.

In a memo sent to all teams last week, the league announced that it had them re-engineered

just a smidge.

But the end result is that they won't fly quite as far.

The reported reason for the redesign is the record setting 6,776 home runs hit in 2019.

MLB wanted answers to the slugfest and turned to a committee of scientists that found the

baseballs had less drag than in previous seasons, as well as some inconsistency in seam height.
