Matt Norlanda is here with me and nothing too significant on the court has happened

since we last spoke, but the program that is 114 consecutive Big 12 regular season titles

in the news again Kansas guard, Lageral, Vic taking a personal leave of absence from the

J Hawks, the statement from Bill Self, it reads this way, quote, Lageral has some personal

matters that require his immediate attention in quote, there is no time table for return.

It's unclear if he will return. So Kansas, going to be playing for at least a little while

and possibly for the rest of the season without its second leading score and its third leading

score. One of them, Lageral, Vic, the other, of course, Shadoka, Azabuki, Norlander, please

share your thoughts on this notable Big 12 development.

Kansas can be down to four eligible players, three of which are walk-ons and I'm still going

to wait and see that they don't win the Big 12. I'm not stepping off this. Gary Pidor,

who covers the team locally also reported Thursday night that he spoke with Vic's mother.

Lageral, Vic, is heading to your city GP. He has been called back home for some sort of

important urgent matter having to do with his family, hopefully. All is not exceedingly

terrible. Who knows what the actual reason for him having to return to see his mother is

at this point, but clearly urgent enough where he is stepping away and Kansas has just,

they have no more red shirts to burn. They don't have any depth. From a personal standpoint,

we hope that things are okay and okay quickly for Vic and whatever he is going through, but

from a basketball-affected standpoint, the hits continue to come for Kansas and more
