Good morning and welcome to Kid News. I'm Tori. Today is Wednesday, February 6, 2019.

And we begin with a lock of presidential hair commanding a hefty price at auction.

A few strands from the head of George Washington just sold for more than $35,000.

Interestingly, it was sold by the family of Alexander Hamilton, who served under the first

president of the United States as Secretary of Treasury.

We're not entirely sure how Hamilton got hold of Washington's hair or why someone would want to buy it, but that's neither

here nor there. The auction house says it is authentic, more than five inches long, and is accompanied

by a letter from Hamilton's son James.

A sixth grade boy bullied for having the same last name as the current president

shared a little of the State of the Union spotlight last night.

Joshua Trump of Wilmington, Delaware was a guest of the President and First Lady.

Joshua is not related to the Trump's, but made headlines for being bullied on the bus and in gym class because of his name.
