And we begin with a snoozer of a Super Bowl.

After a weekend of epic championship games, the biggest matchup on the biggest

stage defied hype and expectation and fell flat.

The final score, Patriots 13, Rams 3, a point total that made history as the lowest going Super Bowl in the history of Super Bowls.

Even stadium sponsor Mercedes-Benz took note of the boredom with a third quarter tweet.

If this game weren't in my stadium, I would have driven

away by now. Still, records are records. Tom Brady now has six Super Bowl wins more than any other

player. And at 41, he's also the oldest starting quarterback with a victory.

Patriots coach Bill Bellacek set the same records.

He too has six wins more than any other coach and at 66 he is the oldest coach to lead a team to football's biggest

prize.

Now that there's a Super Bowl winner, design can start on the Super Bowl ring.

The tradition didn't start with football though. It actually

began in baseball when the New York Giants won the World Series in 1922. It took a few years, but the

bling finally found its way to the NFL in 1967, when the Green Bay Packers receive rings with a single one-carrot diamond.

Since then, they've changed a bit.

The last year's ring didn't have one diamond. The Eagles

designed it with 219 plus 17 green sapphires. Teams order one for each of the 53 players on the

roster, plus extra for support staff.

So how did Russian President Vladimir Putin end up with one?

Patriots owner Robert Kraft says he let Mr. Putin try one on a few years ago and he liked it so much he didn't give it back.
