Summary

It was a noisy weekend in college basketball, starting with the NCAA's two-year suspension on Kansas forward Silvio De Sousa. Parrish and Norlander open on that -- and get into a deep discussion on what is and isn't fair, what is and isn't known, and how this could be a harbinger for other punishments to come. From there, the guys get into what happened over the weekend, starting with Michigan and Michigan State going down/Indiana and Iowa winning (31:15), NC State's ridiculous 24-point game (38:30). Kentucky, North Carolina and Baylor also continued their winning ways (46:45), so the guys get to that as well before making their Super Bowl picks (54:00).

before this podcast is done. But I wanted to start with the big news from Friday night and that is

0:50.9

that the NCAA finally ruled on Silvia Dessuza and it was not a favorable rule in for Silvia

or for Kansas. He suspended rest of the season and all of next season. In other words, the NCAA

1:03.0

didn't technically end his college career but it came really close. Can you will appeal?

1:07.2

And perhaps the appeal will be successful. But if not, Silvia Dessuza will not play for Kansas again

1:13.2

until the 2020-21 season and that's if he ever plays for Kansas again at all. Norlanda, I got a ton of

1:20.2

thoughts on this topic but let me hear yours first. Yeah, I'll try and be brief here, Parish,

1:25.2

because I want to let you kind of take your swings. I do have a column up that went up obviously on

go and check on that. I would love to have been in the room or rooms as this decision came to be.

I would love to know the people on the Reinstatement Committee, which by the way is not like the

operating here within the NCAA, I think that's important to remember. There are different scenarios

and different reasons why teams or players might receive suspension. Silvia was trying to get reinstated
