Hi, everybody. Hello, welcome to the Jeff Kirstman Show. It's October.

And that means it's time for fun. Fun-sized candy bars abound at all your stores, I guess, right?

I mean, I went to a store a few weeks ago before I got sick and I was shocked at just how many Halloween displays were already set up.

I was like, it's mid-September. What the heck is wrong with you? And then I blinked and now here we are. It's October 4th.

Well, I cannot deny that now is exactly the right time to have your frickin' candy out for sale.

Yeah, this is so my daughter is three, so this is probably going to be the first proper Halloween we dressed her up last year.

But, you know, she was too, she was stumbling around with, you know, now she's like excited about it. Now she has opinions on not only who she is going to dress up as, but that everyone else needs to dress up to fit the theme.

We'll see if she sticks to that. I am down to do it if that's what she wants.

I think that's the appropriate answer for all things when it comes to the kids, but if she wants everyone to dress up like the cast of Frozen, then I will do that.

That's looking like how it's going to go, so I don't have any piece of a costume yet or anything like that.

But, you know, it's only October 4th, right? So, just gotta wait and hope that everyone forgets.

And then we'll see how it goes. I don't know how Trick or Treating works anymore.

It's been a weird few years, and so now we're kind of in this strange...

The family is now in this strange limbo where, you know, we're still a little bit of sniffly and all that other stuff. We are technically past the 10-day mark, which is what the CDC says matters.

And, you know, we're testing negative and all that other stuff, so we're kind of on the other side of COVID, I guess.

I have not taken any cold medicine or anything like that for about three days now, but it's still this lingering...

Blah feeling, you know what I mean? And still a real lack of energy, but other than that, other than that pretty much fine.

So, yeah, it's a shitty thing. I'm gonna say don't get it. That's my bold. I hate to start the show with hot takes.

But you should try to avoid getting sick with the plague, you know? If they offer you vaccines, I think you should get them to help reduce the impact of all that stuff.

Just seems smart. You don't want this. You definitely don't want this. So get out there and get boosted, all those other stuff.

Get out there and go boosting. Get out there and steal some stuff. No. Yeah, so now we're invincible.
