John Ross, Hey, John. So Social Security, this is something that I've talked about at length.

In fact, I even have this blog, Social Security Intelligence, where I talk about Social Security benefits. And as that blog has grown, I get lots of emails.

Sure. And in my practice, especially dealing with our pre-planning clients, the folks that are approaching that retirement age, you know, they're coming to me for estate planning. But inevitably, Social Security clients, the folks that are approaching that retirement age, you know, they're coming to me

for estate planning, but inevitably, social security questions come up during those consultations.

I get asked about social security almost daily.

Yeah. Well, and it's a good thing people are asking those questions, too, because it's important.

It is.

I think the administration says that somewhere around

38% of the average retirees income comes from Social Security benefits. Sure, and I know at least

with a large portion of my client base, that is their predominant source of income. Yeah. So if you add to that,

the two main websites for the Social Security

Administration has somewhere around 115,000 pages. You know, it's tough to go on there and find help.

So last week, I've got a phone call from a lady who seemed a little frantic. And she said,

you know, it's just occurred to me that I think

have gotten Social Security benefits incorrectly. I don't think I should have been paid all this time.

And she went through her long story. She was married. That husband passed away. She got remarried and

continued getting the survivor benefit from her first husband. And now several years later, she was 78 years old
