Solo pod. A lot of it is explaining the reason for the new format I’ll be trying. For now, the even episodes will be with guests, odd episodes will be shorter and me talking to myself. And introducing a fun new bit into the mix, “Inside the Notebook.”

0:00.0	Hello everyone and welcome to this solo episode of the Jeff Macolino podcast. So I'm going
0:15.2	to use this to introduce the new format. I guess would be the way to say it. I'm going
0:24.4	to keep having guests on for chats. I'm just going to shift because I noticed my audience
0:35.3	has been taking a couple of weeks to catch up to my episodes and I thought a good way to
0:45.2	amend that would be to both give you options and to put out slightly less content. I'm still
0:53.0	going to do two podcasts a week. One per week is going to be me with a guest. These are going to
1:00.3	usually be a little over an hour in time and once a week is going to be a solo podcast where I will do
1:11.0	myself and got an idea for a bit or a segment whatever it would be called and I'm going to
1:26.2	go and try it out and listener feedback is very much appreciated in all of these things.
1:36.2	But I've come to realize through Twitter poll and through just talking to some people that
1:46.2	you know unfortunately a lot of my listeners are not major podcast listeners meaning on a normal
1:54.0	week I will average like six hours a day of listening to podcasts while I work. A lot of people
2:02.1	listen to like less than five hours a week and a lot of them prior to me meaning like
2:10.0	you know my mother. Listen to zero hours of podcasts a year prior to this so I'm trying to find
2:20.8	a middle ground and I thought and this was reaffirmed by I believe the next guest you'll hear
2:32.3	that it would also help me as far as doing stand up because I am going to introduce you a segment
2:40.8	called Inside the Notebook. I have a notebook in my car I have two on my couch I have one at my
2:52.3	desk where I work I have also hours of voice memos on my phone and many notes on my phone as to
3:04.0	things I find funny or weird funny or awkward moments that occur to me in my life.
3:13.8	I find that stuff funny there was a song goodness I wish I had thought of this before I started
3:21.6	recording but AJR had a song and I think it went 100 bad days gives 100 good stories 100 good
3:29.8	stories make me interesting at parties I believe was the refrain of that song and I'm very much
