This is episode 15 of the Swallier Pride Podcast with Rebecca Levy and yes

She is the same girl that I interviewed in episode 13 that was all about

treatment. So if you miss that one go back and

listen to that. But the reason she's doing a part 2 is because originally we

sat down to talk about thick and liquids and we just kept talking and then she kept going into treatment and

more treatment and it was just such a good episode but it was so much information that I was like

oh man we got to split this into two so

luckily Rebecca gave you guys she gave you so much incredible information in

episode 13 on treatment and today we have episode of 15 which is all about thick and liquids.

So the good, the bad, and the ugly.

Rebecca is a speech language pathologist currently in the role of clinical program

consultant for ACP's synchrony dysphagia program.

Rebecca has worked in health care for over 11 years.

Although she spent the first two years of her career in special education she quickly realized that she had a passion

for the geriatric setting and specifically working with patients with dysphagia.

She spends about eight years in a sniff setting and five of those years she was the director of rehab for her therapy program, but never stepped away from treating.

She also spent some time doing private home health and worked on a mobile van completing video fluoroscopy.

Rebecca's current role of clinical consultant VAN completing video fluoroscopy.

Rebecca's current role of clinical consultant is probably her most fulfilling, helping to educate other SLPs,

and helping them to get superior outcomes with their patients.
