Well, hi there. Welcome to today's show. I'm Natalie Norton and I am so very excited to have you here.

Today is the most beautiful day in Hawaii. Can I just say that for one second? Seriously, the sun is shining. There's not a cloud in the sky. The ocean is perfect. The beach is beautiful. We haven't had any rain

in the last few days. This is why I live in paradise, which may I tell you, I get it's a privilege.

I get that you don't want to hear about it. But there is one thing about living here that is

really challenging for me. I don't get island fever.

I don't feel claustrophobic.

Nothing like that.

My issue is that it is so incredibly far away from everything I feel so isolated sometimes.

And it makes it really hard for me to be able to participate in all the things and connect with all the people

and be at all the events.

It can be really hard because I've got to be so selective especially because I have kids

and I want to be present and available for them.

That is a huge priority in my life.

So I have to be very careful

about travel, very careful about any investment of time outside of those things that are

absolutely essential and that are directly aligned with my values and my goals, both in my

family and in my profession. And I know all of you moms out there who are balancing lots of different things.

And you dads too, you get it, right?

It's all a give and take.

And we do our very best to weigh our values and the opportunities,

weigh those things against one another and make the best decision, right?
