Jennifer Bristol is the state coordinator for Texas Children in Nature, which connects over 300 organizations

with the children and nature movement in Texas. Prior to becoming the first state coordinator for

T-CIN, she created award-winning conservation education curriculum and youth development programs for

campfire and served as a park ranger for Texas parks and wildlife.

Thanks for having me.

So I want you to give us a bit of a brief intro into how sustainability and the environment

played a part in your life growing up.

Yeah, I probably had a more robust and dynamic childhood in that regard than most people did.

Both my parents and my grandparents have been very involved with conservation.

You know, since I was a kid, my dad has worked on a national level and a state level,

helping national parks and state parks.

And then my mom worked for Nature Conservancy.

She was a county commissioner and dealt a lot in Travis County with the Endangered Species Act.
