all when it comes to gardening in horticulture and that is compost or composting.

But today it's not so much a 101 on how to do it, although we will definitely get into that conversation today, but it's more about maybe a dialogue

between two composting geeks, myself and Dr. Lee Reich.

You'll know that name because he was in episode six. He was our expert on the topic of weedless gardening.

He wrote the book on it and it's one of his specialties and that's how a lot of you knew of him before this podcast or to have discovered him since.

But he has a lot of claims to fame.

Some real strong passions and some really great background in the areas of pruning, unusual fruit varieties for backyard gardening.

He is a PhD and soil scientist, hence his expertise in the area of composting, and he is a lover of compost.

And those are just a few of his specialties.

Now as I mentioned in that previous episode, we went out and filmed Dr. Reich, in his own farmeden he calls it which is not

big enough for a farm but bigger than a garden so he calls it a far den. I love that. He has about two acres in upstate New York.

But when we went there to do the episode on Weedless Gardening, I look over and I know that we are kindred spirits. He had many composting bins and they were gorgeous and even

had burlap over the top of it. I mean it put my composting bins to shame and I take pride in mine so I said this is definitely a topic we are

going to have to come back and revisit with Lee but we're going to get Lee's story
