Welcome to the show, Lauren. Thanks so much for having me. So before we jump into exactly what

it is that you do, because I'm sure a ton of people are really interested in that and really

curious, I want you to talk a little bit

about how nature, the environment, and sustainability played a part in your life growing up, if at all.

Growing up, nature played an interesting role. I was always expected to go outside and play,

and I was always expected to appreciate nature.

And I was given an opportunity to appreciate nature all the time.

So I was lucky to be able to go to swim camp and do things like that.

And, you know, there's a time when, you know, I went on vacation and, you know,

enjoyed things like, you know, national parks. But in terms of a more profound understanding of nature, that didn't come until I was an adult.

And so it was just sort of like, nature is nice.

And nature is where you play.

But littering is not really an issue.

And recycling is not really an issue.

And so it was just a really like base level understanding of nature.
