Elton John. What an amazing privilege for me to sit down and talk with the man himself.

We sat down for about an hour.

So for those of you that are new to the show, my name is George Ezra, I'm a musician, I'm a singer, I'm a songwriter.

I recently released my second album, Staying At Tomorrow's, which means I'm out on the road and I'm absolutely loving it.

So for any of you that have come out to see us or that have bought the record, thank you very much, it means the world and it means that I'm busy.

But enough about me, I guess this week, Elton John, I really want to tell you this story because it is one of the standout moments of my career so far.

So I released my first album and I was on tour somewhere in Europe, I can't quite remember where we were.

And my tour manager at the time came into the dressing room and he said, listen, Elton John's going to call and he wants to have a word with you.

Now, this tour manager, Mr. Matt Johnson, used to love winding me up. Matt, if you're listening, I remember me and him would kind of wind each other up.

So I didn't believe him. Why would you believe that? I was this kind of 19 year old, 20 year old kid.

I didn't think Elton John would be ringing. So anyway, the phone rang and it was Elton John but I, and I can't be blamed, I said, I really don't want to offend you but is this really Elton John?

I just like it was too surreal and the most amazing thing was he just ran to say that he loved the album and to keep on doing what I'm doing.

And I can't tell you how much that did for my confidence. I touched on it in this episode but I just, yeah, I wanted to tell you as listeners how much that meant to me and what an honor it was.
