morning for those who weren't with us in the 7 o'clock hour about the credit that Iro Wynchraub

deserves for a take that he had not too long ago.

It must have been last week when we got the news that Terrick Scoobel going to be out for an

extended period of time. I met that news with extreme pessimism about the timeline being the shortest

one possible.

The talk, albeit not from the team or anyone in Terek Skouble's circle.

This is more from pundits who probably talked to doctors who said,

hey, the kind of surgery that he's getting

two to three month recovery. And I was like, there's no way that he comes back in the two-month

window. This is almost certainly going to be the three-month window, the longest time off possible.

And even if I was right that he needs to get back to show that he's healthy,

he wants a $500 million contract, show that he's going to be the same.

He'll only do it like at the very tail end and not at a time where it's really,

really meaningful if the Tigers have fallen off.

Ira, however, was right.

He was right in his take that the motivation to come back on the quickest timeline possible in a healthy way is going to be the side that he he errs on with and even

though he's not back and the team hasn't said he will be in this window the fact that we

heard from his agent Scott Boris suggests to me that you are on point Mr. Weintrapp. This dude is going to come back quick fast and in the hurry. So the, first of all, the guy's a gamer. And, you know, we've established that part. The guy wants to be out there. He, and we can talk all we want about how we perceive the organization to have treated him during arbitration and all that stuff. That doesn't necessarily impact how he feels about his teammates, right?

You can be mad at your organization.

You can be bad at management, but you still want to be out there with your guys, that you feel like you have something to prove with those guys. So that's part of it. He's a gamer. And he wants to be out there. He loves the game. He just wants to play. the second part of it is he has an agent that will maximize his value and so you have that to the
