Province of St. Joseph here in Washington, D.C. And today I am joined by my Conferrier, Father

Patrick Mary Brisco, who is the vicar at our parish in Rhode Island,

St. Pies of 5th, teaches at Providence College, is editor of something at Alatea, he could tell you all these things, but say

hi anyways, Father Patrick.

None of them matter as much as being a Dominican friar.

That's right.

He's a Dominican friar.

That's all you need to know. Bast, A-Zi, huh? That's all you need to know.

That's right.

So, you know, in the church, the liturgical calendar is something that really kind of defines the rhythm of sort of our experience in the church's

cycle of liturgy and the church's feast days and all of those things and you

know there are different seasons that we're well familiar with Advent

Christmas, Easter, all of the ordinary time even, right? But there are also

particular months that are given to devotion to different things.

So perhaps the most readily available in our minds is the month of May

given over to Our Lady.
