So before we went to the break, we were talking about the college basketball portal officially opening today.

And how, man, in the middle of the NCAA tournament.

It's like, man, so you got teams preparing for the next round of the tournament.

And now the portal is open, so you got coaches having to navigate preparation for the sweet 16 while also juggling, hey, I got to be

recruiting guys in the portal, thinking about guys who want to jump in, that kind of, all of that.

It's going on at the same time.

All right.

It has changed. It is, I do think it's an improvement over last year.

Not perfect, but an improvement. And so how has it changed, Mr. Weintraub? Well, the first

change is it, they moved the portal.

They moved it down a week.

Now, last year, the portal opened March 18.

So it was the day after selection Sunday. So that means that means every team

every team in the tournament, you know, dealing with the first, you know, the first, even including

the teams in the first four, all of those squads have to be worried about preparing for the games and the

portal at the same time. By moving it down a week, the only teams disadvantaged are the

Sweet 16 teams. So all the teams that have been eliminated so far, though all those teams were spared the difficulty of the juggle.

So in essence, you disadvantaged fewer teams in the equation.

So I guess that that's an improvement, right? So Michigan, by virtue of winning, Michigan State by virtue of winning, so on and so forth. Those are the unlucky few that are disadvantaged by winning.

That doesn't that freaking suck?
