So, you know, Ira, the tigers in their handling of Terrick Scoobel is an embarrassment.

They are getting panned and criticized all across Major League Baseball.

Like, what are they doing?

Now, the odds of them getting a hometown discount were pretty low to begin with, right?

But it's my position that even if you think that the likelihood of you retaining him is very low,

you put your best foot forward.

You do your best to let him know, hey, we love you.

We want to keep you.

The only way we won't keep you is if the best deal that we could possibly make that you turn that down.

But we are going to show you that we believe that you're the best player, the best

pitcher of baseball, an iconic figure for this franchise.

And maybe that will get you to say, hey, because he talks about how he loves Detroit, right?

Maybe that'll get him to say, hey, because he talks about how he loves Detroit, right? Maybe that'll get him to say, hey, you know what?

This is just, I just feel too loved by the community, too loved by the organization, to leave.

Even though another franchise is going to maybe offer me 50 million,

or whatever, how many millions of dollars more that the Dodgers or the Mets or the Yankees

can offer, right?

But the Tigers didn't do that, as we've talked about.

The Tigers, as they went to arbitration, I think the original offer was like $19.8 million for the best pitcher in baseball.

I'm not even sure the point eight was a part of it.
