One more hour of Sam's vacation. He'll be back with us next week when he returns from, when we all return from the President's Day weekend. So real quickly, before we transition and talking more Michigan hockey, in the last segment, we were talking a little bit about the quote. We're talking about Flint. We're talking about, I mentioned Trey McKinney and talking about Flint, right? Yeah. Because in my head, I was thinking about what Dusty May said earlier in the week about Trey and Mark, who was at one point in Syracuse, but Mark is now back in Michigan, listening to the show and hung out with Mark down in the hot land. Back in 2013, Mark messaged in about what Dusty had said. I was going to mention it, so I wanted to give him credit for also emailing me. But do you remember early in the week, Dusty said,

And Trey was coming off of a big game. I mean, he's had what, six double, do whatever does double digit games in a row. But I remember somebody made a comment like, I kind of thought that Sam was hyping him up a little bit because he's from Flint. Oh, okay, yeah.

And it's like, I didn't realize he was this good. It's like, well, he was five-star. Like, Sam wasn't just hyping him up. Sam was pretty honest. Yeah. Like when Michigan has, remember, um, playing on his first name, but Chapman was a five-star recruit for basketball. He hit the three-pointer. Cam Chapman hit the three point against Indiana

So Cam Chapman. He hit the three-point against Indiana, the Big Ten tournament from the corner at the buzzer. So Cam Chapman came in as a five-star, and Sam said, I'm not so sure he's a five-star. And it proved to be out. Sam will tell you when he does or does not agree with the rankings. So, yeah. And with Trey, obviously, he did agree and Trey has had a phenomenal season as the sixth man on the Michigan men's

basketball team. But we were talking about in the last segment. So I just want to and with Trey obviously he did agree and Trey has had a phenomenal season as the sixth man on the

to mention I should definitely should not have left that part out because the um it's true

and thus he sees it he's from Flint he doesn't get intimidated so that's how it is for

on the Michigan insider on the big 1050 WTK. So we're getting into a little bit of hockey talk to open up this hour as Michigan has a really big week into hockey at Yosice Arena. Tonight's game, tomorrow night's game against Penn State. They're number six in the country. Michigan is now number two in the country. Obviously, a big part of this is we're talking about the standings at the top of the conference. And Penn State's still right in that conversation. Maybe one is going to end up being out of reach because Michigan State has the bottom teams in the conference left and they probably will win out. And you're a point behind them right now. So in the end, you may end up a point or two behind Michigan State for the top of the conference. But you are battling Penn State for number two. for number two, you want to be two or three and you'd rather be two than three. Right. And there are a lot of different reasons why, but you want to be two. And so it's a huge weekend series when it comes to that part of it. If you're just watching the standings, if you're watching the MPI, the four, what used to be the Paraguize rankings. If you're watching that, sure, it's a big weekend for getting comparisons against teams that are, you know,

in the conversation with you. So there's that part of it. No question about it. But I'm going to look at it from a different perspective. I'm, we know that we need them to win. And these are as close to must win games if you're trying to solidify your spot in the conference. but it's not to me about the, I don't want to get into the result part of it. I want to ask you, Miz, obviously you were at both games last weekend. So is I for that matter. You've been at most of the home games this season. You've been following this team very closely. We were very surprised to see Jack Ivan Kovic listed as the starting goalie and then playing the game on Saturday night. It was his first game back.

He looked really rusty.

The defense didn't look its sharpest last weekend.

It did not look nearly as sharp last weekend as we had seen it in a lot of other weekends,
