Okay, so let's get started. What is anxiety? During our lives, we all have a level of anxiety within us. It's a natural coping mechanism that we have.

Helps us to cope with particular situations. It gears us up to deal with particular workloads or family life.

Things that need a little bit of our attention, we all are capable to deal with those thanks to a level of

anxiety within us. It's when anxiety reaches higher levels of fear, worry or dread that we

kind of need to start thinking about speaking to somebody, looking at how we deal with those

things, maybe go to a therapist or go to

your doctors and just chat about it to somebody who isn't connected to you in any way.

I very often have people ask me during therapy, what is anxiety?

My definition of anxiety is that it's an overthinking or an overreaction to a particular situation

or event that is due to happen. When we fear a future event, we may start to guess what's

going to happen on that night, on the day, how is it going to pan out? We may start to think about

things that might go wrong.

If you think about it for yourself and your own situations, have you ever been invited to a party?

And you've been really, really excited for it. And a few days before, you start thinking about the
