Hello. Hello and welcome to Roman Emperors Totalis Rankium, a show where we basically talk about the Roman emperors and what we think of them.

Yeah, if you have listened to the fantastic podcast Rex Factor, you'll probably already know what to expect.

We have talked to them and they very kindly let us steal their formula.

And we're going to have a look at all the Roman emperors.

We are going to go from all the way from Augustus to Augustulus and rate every single Roman Emperor.

Straightaway that's very confusing. Augustus or Augustulus. That pretty much sounds like the same person.

Yeah, we'll just have to work this out as we go that way.

I'm sure. It'll be fine. There are more in between, I'm sure.

So every episode, we are going to look at one emperor and then we're

going to rate them out of certain categories. We have got first of all, fightius maximus.

That's how kind of you know were they good fighters, do they manage their armies well? Do

they conquer? We've got opprobium crazeum. How mad were they?

Successus ultimus.

Were they successful in what they did?

Were they good at leading people and armies?

Just generally, how good were they for the empire?

Yeah.

And then we've got a couple of small categories.

We've got imago facieus.

That's basically where we look at their busts by busts. I mean, they're carved marble heads and we just say how pretty they were.
