It's Tuesday, January 18, 2022, and we begin with a retired NFL lineman tackling a new

gig as the cook at his kid's school.

34-year-old Jared Veld here was looking for a new challenge last summer when he heard

about the job opening to oversee and serve lunch to the 260 pre-school through 8th graders

at St. Paul the Apostle School in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The former football player for the Broncos, Raiders, and Packers said he wasn't looking to become

the school lunch lady, but as a professional athlete, he was really careful about what

he ate, so he figured he'd give it a try.

Right away, there were big changes on the menu, no more greasy pizza, chicken nuggets,

or sugary desserts.
