And we begin with the new manager of the Mets getting the boot in record setting time.

Carlos Beltran signed on with New York just last November, but he's already out of a job for getting

caught up in what is arguably the biggest cheating scandal in baseball history.

Mr Beltran used to play for the Astros the team that used

video equipment to steal signs from opposing catchers and he's now the third

manager to lose his job in the fallout. Houston fired A.J. Hinch after Major League Baseball released its findings, and a day later, the Boston Red Sox parted with Alex Cora after he too admitted to wrongdoing while with the Astros.

For the first time new techniques have allowed scientists to identify the oldest solid material

ever found on Earth.

The stardust that came from a meteorite is between 5 and 7 billion years old.

This meteorite landed in Australia when it fell to Earth 50 years ago.

It's now being kept at the Field Museum in Chicago.

The museum's expert on meteorite say they examined tiny grains in the

stardust which are essentially time capsules of the period before our solar system's sun was born.

To separate the ancient grains from the newer ones, the scientists crushed fragments of

the meteorite into a powder, then dissolved it in acid, leaving only the pre- Solar

particles intact.

One expert described it as burning down a haystack to find the needle.

Britain's Prince Harry was seen in public yesterday for the first time since announcing

a big change for his family and for what could be his final official appearance as a royal.
