Let's get this party started your listening to Fox Sports Radio. Look, I understand that Ohio State fans after the beat down that they got last night 28 point loss. Same amount by the way that Texas a.m. lost to Alabama by back in the early part of the season.

I understand that Ohio State fans probably waking up this morning listening to me are a little bit upset over that game, but I think you have to put into context the larger part of the college football season and think about how much better even in defeat you feel then if Ohio state and the rest of the big 10 had set out on the entire college football season and never played.

You would have in the back of your mind watched Alabama likely trounce over probably Texas a.m. would have been in the playoff instead of instead of Ohio state and you would have watched Alabama trounce Texas a.m. and probably Notre Dame or Clemson whoever would have won that game Alabama would have been 13 to know in the back of your mind as an Ohio state fan you would have thought hey we had a team that could have gone toe to toe with Alabama maybe even beaten them and we never got a chance to play because.

Mind yourselves I think if they had kicked off a spring big 10 season first of all most of the top players wouldn't have played right just in fields would have never gone out and played in the spring.

The guys that you've gotten used to watching this year at Ohio state they never would have played okay so the fact that.

This scenario ended up happening yes it stinks to lose to Alabama if you're in Ohio state fan but think about the joy that you got from your win over Clemson and if you are Alabama think about how incredible and improbable and impressive this season was for the crimson tide as Nick Sabin's best and both of those things

that you can win together are a testament to the impact and influence in a substantial way of playing a college football season because make no mistake there were a lot of people out there who did not believe playing a college football season could be done safely and could be done at all and last night we completed the entire college football season zero serious health hospitalization related issues for players or coaches.

And I think the Ohio state buck eyes and many other different teams players out there I'll throw out a couple and whenever I name some teams thank you for fighting outside of the SEC the ACC in the big 12 that we're going to play I think Nebraska corn hesker fans deserve a tremendous amount of credit I think that the Ohio state buck eyes Penn State Michigan.

Iowa all of those schools in the big 10 were instrumental to getting to this to the point where the big 10 was able to play and I know people don't want to hear it but I think the president and his White House advisors I think that the parents and of all these big 10 players who took a stand and said our sons want to be able to play I think all of those people working together

made this season possible.

And so as disappointed as you might be if you're a buck I fans starting off your morning listening to me as I know many of you do first of all I've never been more convinced that we were on the right side of an issue in the world of sports then the battle for college football to happen and I am proud to have led the charge for college football season to have happened among pretty much everybody in sports media I'm not sure there's anyone who was anywhere close to the world.

I was just to his all in on this as I was and I did that because I like you guys in a fan but also because I knew how important it was for how hard all of these college football players worked for them to have the ability to actually play and to get out on the field and take advantage of all the work that they put in and Alabama ends up the champion which is something we've seen six of the last 12 years in college football.

And so I think it's for Nick Sabin is off the charts. He now has seven national championships this one felt different I think it was his best team and I think it's emblematic of a larger lesson that Nick Sabin learned which is you can't be dominant and create a dynasty by doing the same thing every single year.

Sabin's coaching genius is that he is able to evolve with the times if you are a college football fan and you went back and watched the way that Alabama played back when they won their first title in I believe 2009 in the Rose Bowl against Colt McCoy and Greg Maccrowley was a quarterback if I remember correctly for the Alabama Crimson tide that team that played a little bit over a decade ago was a lot of time.

And then the team that we saw play last night that Alabama team that Nick Sabin developed that one is first championship and the first couple of championships was almost entirely defined by the defense.
