All right. Can I, like always, speak to you from the heart with absolute candor, with absolute honesty?

When I wrote my first book on revival in 1989, the end of the American Gospel Enterprise that had the forward by Leonard Ravenhill,

when I wrote that book, I felt as if America was hanging in the balance. I felt as if

if we don't see real revival, if we don't see God move in powerful ways in the nation,

that we could be on the verge of collapse. I've carried that burden with intensity for years.

I've written many books about the sickly state of so much of the American church.

I've written books about the sickly state of the charismatic movement, of which I am a part.

So I am anybody but someone who's just always saying, this positive, just be happy, just think

encouraging thoughts. No, sometimes you need sobering thoughts. You don't always need encouraging

thoughts. Sometimes you need sobering thoughts. Many times the message of Jesus, his loving message to the church is, repent.
