And we begin with two dogs in two different countries doing their best to make

Lassie proud. First, to New Hampshire, where a shepherd named

Tinsley led troopers to her badly injured owner.

The pooch was wandering alone on Interstate 89 and when cops tried to

corral her, she took off running, leading them off the road to an overturned

pickup and its two occupants, both of whom had been ejected.

Officer Dan Baldacere said it was like a real-life Lassie situation.

The crash victims wouldn't have survived the night given the temperatures.

From the other side of the world in Croatia, another remarkable rescue.

This one involving an eight-month-old Alaskan Malamute that crawled on top of

his injured human hiker and stayed there for 13 straight hours to keep him

from getting hypothermia. When help finally arrived, the dog named North didn't

bud from the man's chest, even as he was stretched into a waiting helicopter.

It looks like we all have a new word to wrap our heads around.

It's called Florauna and it's the catchy new name given to those of us

unlucky enough to test positive for the flu and the coronavirus at the same time.

Doctors are quick to point out that Florauna is not a new disease, nor is it a

new variant of COVID-19. It's just the one-two punch of randomly catching two

different viruses at the same time. A doctor at Cedar Sinai in Los Angeles says

it's obviously not great to be infected with both at once, but it's not
