| 1:04.0 | So this is an episode that we've been teasing for a while. |
| 1:07.0 | It's one we've been very excited about and that is the world of travel hacking. |
| 1:11.0 | And I am very fortunate to be doing this with Brad because he is really an expert in this space and has been doing it for a long time. |
| 1:18.0 | Has built several businesses around this model and has been sharing this information with what is hundreds of thousands of people, at least thousands. |
| 1:28.0 | Yeah, I mean, certainly tens of thousands. |
| 1:31.0 | So I wanted to start off just by telling you a little bit of a story and how travel hacking has improved my life and the hopes that it might give you some ideas about how it might help yours. |
| 1:41.0 | So my wife is from Zimbabwe and she lives with me in the United States and there are some implications for that because her family is still overseas. |
| 1:50.0 | It is important to us that we go visit them on a regular basis because she's living here, but we don't want it to be a situation where we never get to see them or we only see them when they come to us. |
| 2:00.0 | Because we're living on a budget. So from the start, Danny and I decided that we were going to set aside a certain amount of money every single year to go visit them. |
| 2:10.0 | And these tickets to Zimbabwe are incredibly expensive running anywhere from $2,500 upwards of $3,000 and that's for an economy seat. |
| 2:19.0 | And so that's for one ticket round trip and we would need two of those. |
| 2:24.0 | So we, this is not something that we can do every year. We would typically set out to save $3,000 a year and every two years we would take a trip back home to visit her family. |
