We've been talking about a great event on this campus called Mock Rock, where Michigan student athletes participate in an event

that is bigger than them, something bigger than themselves, that benefits a circumstance,

be it a charity, whether it's, whether it's in this case, this year,

the Charles Woodson Clinical Research Fund, CSMOT Children's Hospital. It could be, it could be

what it was at its inception, which was the Jeff Reese endowed scholarship.

But you see student athletes showing their hidden talents on an annual basis, and they're doing so again this year.

And joining us to talk about this year's mock rock is Lindsay Stag, a member of Michigan Field Hockey team, joining us here on the Big 1050.

Good morning. Hi. Thank you so much for having me on.

Yeah, thanks for coming on. Tell us all about it.

So first and foremost, I gave a brief intro, but for folks who aren't familiar with

mock rock, first tell us, tell them about it, and then give us an introduction to what mock rock

means to you and to your team as a student athlete. Okay, yeah, perfect. This year is the 26th annual Mock Rock, and it

will be February 18th from 7 to 830 p.m. at Cliff Keene Arena. And Mockrock is an annual

student athlete talent show that we put on to raise funds for a cause in our community. And basically

what happens is that each team puts on an act and we have celebrity judges that score each

act and it's a competition to see you can win. And we also compete to see who can raise the most
