But John, let's talk before we get to Michigan football, just briefly, because the regents have done a great job of handling this publicly for Michigan.

They had another region's meeting yesterday.

It's always funny to see how people nationally think that the Michigan regents call meetings just to talk sports things, even though they have literally meetings once a month on a Thursday. But that's really besides the point. The regents came out strong again yesterday. Mark Bernstein, the University of Michigan Board of Regents met today to discuss the current Big Ten Enterprise proposal. We remain opposed to this deal.

Importantly, we're committed to the Big Ten Conference and will continue to explore opportunities that address the pressing financial challenges facing Big Ten athletic departments.

So first of all, I mean, they're going to threaten the independence that they need to.

They probably aren't going to need to because the money's not coming without Michigan.

But, John, can we just go back again to the conversation that the pressing financial challenges that are happening around Big Ten athletic departments are self-induced?

And if they just were more fiscally responsible, these problems wouldn't really be happening

at the same pace?

All true on all fronts, exactly.

And look at UCLA.

Not only are they swimming in debt, and that's clearly a public university, they also suck.
