I got it that time. I told Eric during the break that I'm starting to lose my mind a little. I'm starting to have a struggle speaking, which is a real problem with an hour of a show left to do. Well, as we say, I'm doing shockingly well. My dad used to love that one. And today particularly well. And young Teddy Bacon is listening on his way to Lansing for a school field trip. We're doing very well. And I got to give a shameless plug. We don't do this. You don't do this. I don't do this. Sam doesn't do this. But I've got to make an exception here. Last night, the Bucco, bases loaded, hit a grand slam over the right fielder's head, and he was going full blast. Luckily, his mom taped it because I was up north. I was supposed

to give a speech yesterday, but the speech was canceled, but my friends were coming anyway, so here I am.

So I'm trucking around there. Got a grand slam, and that's the kind of thing. I'm sure, Ira, you'd

agree. You don't forget the rest of your life. So super a lot of fun. He's putting a lot of work and gotten over a fear of getting hit and getting more aggressive at the play and all kinds of other good stuff. But also, shout out to his head coach, Will Ferrup, who gave him the green light specifically on 3-0. So a lot of coaches want to do that in a walk fest. uh that journey set it up as well so that was a

fun thing for the bucko clearly i had nothing to do with it because i was here i'm up north

shout out to the shout out to all coaches that give their kids in walk fest three oh green

lights uh because if you you may only get one good pitch to swing at an entire at bat heck Heck, we have had innings, John, in 12-view softball or little league softball, where we get one good pitch the entire inning, right? So, and then the inning ends with a five-run mercy, and then you move on to the next. So he gets one good pitch, yeah, he better take advantage of it. I'm glad that he had a better ruling than we had on Wednesday night. Gracie was up with the bases loaded. The infield was a little in. She hit it over the out of the infielder's head and there was no play to be made. And the umpire who was a high school kid and I feel I'm not going to get mad. I was not mad at her even though she totally blew the call. She called infield fly.

The ball was over the infield head, and they called infield fly. And then on top of it, they didn't officiate the infield fly rule right. The runners were advancing when they weren't supposed to. He still scored. So it was totally absurd. It should have just been an RBI single. but Gracie did But it's, you know,

I don't care if it's kids in baseball or kids in softball. And I've talked to who I found that as a mutual friend of ours. I found this out on Saturday, Eric Harris,

who threw out the first pitch at the Michigan baseball game,

and he was on the air with us a couple days ago after to talk about his stroke survival story, which is an awesome story from the other day that he told us on the air. And that's the thing. He's Gracie's pitch batting coach. And he does a great job of that part, which is the cycle of kids.

I have watched now for my team and other teams that we've seen others, and I could probably

have seen it with your kid.

Every kid have ever seen play a ball sport, baseball or softball, the cycle of being scared

to be in the box to get to the finality of what you saw, or I guess your wife saw because

you were up north north the smashing of the

home run that full cycle is so much fun to see and I know us as parents we all love seeing our kids
