Most people who go to prison are going to come out of prison. They're going to come out of prison.

They're going to live in your street or my street or someone else's street. Therefore, it seems

the obvious purpose to prison should be, how do we make them into good neighbours? A lot of people

in prison are in prison. Yes, they've committed crimes, but they have other issues. They may have

come from a terrible family background. They may have other issues. They may have come from a terrible family background.

They may have addiction issues.

They may have mental health issues.

They may have educational issues.

There's a lot of reasons why people are in prison.

And if you can force people to confront their demons in more progressive societies, and what I saw in Norway, is actually what they say is we're going to make you confront their demons. In more progressive societies, and what I saw in Norway,

We're going to try and get you to face up the fact why you're addicted on drugs,

why do you drink too much, why are you violent?
