Basketball Insider by introducing him as an All-American out of Clarkston High School back in the

early 80s. He came to the University of Michigan as a big-time basketball prospect.

He went on to be an All-American and a first-round draft pick back in 1984, played 10 years in the National Basketball Association.

And since then, has been one of the best basketball commentators in all the land.

But he's also been my guy, my man.

I call him Timmy Matt.

You guys know I miss Tim McCormick, that broadcaster.

But as people walk around the concourse over in LCA and Little Caesar's Arena,

you've been calling him a Timmy Mac too.

Timmy, Mac, how are you doing this morning?

I'm fantastic.

It's game day, Sam.

Can't wait.

I think it's going to be an A-plus game, probably the most compelling and exciting game of the year.

Michigan's bigs are a lot more skilled,

but they've struggled against really physical front lines this year. I'm thinking about Purdue and Penn State, Minnesota. Michigan states, post guys are big and they're powerful and they're mean and they're not very

skilled. But I think it's going to be a really exciting game. And you know, Danny Wolf is the

one that I'm watching really close because of the fact that, yeah, I know he's an NBA player. A lot of

people think he's a lottery pick. Tonight, we're going to find out that, yeah, I know he's an NBA player. A lot of people think he's a lottery pick.
