This is episode 8 of the Swallier Pride podcast and today's guest is Megan Nosel.

Megan is extremely knowledgeable in the world of head and neck cancer.

She's one of those super intelligent people

that has not only skim the literature but she can really dive in and think critically

and relay it so well in her clinical practice. I've been getting lots of requests for head and neck cancer so I thought

Megan would be the perfect person to break it down for us give us a crash

course from Ground Zero. Megan is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and since

graduating Megan has been a clinician in the skilled nursing setting, outpatient

rehab, and nonprofit organizations. She's also taken 36 credit hours of additional pre-Med coursework and has a strong research background.

36 hours of pre-Med work, that's Megan, you're nuts.

Currently, Megan is an

SLP at Steps for Recovery, which is an outpatient clinic where she

treats adults who have Trismis, an array of communication disorders, and

dysphagia. She's also a board member of the nonprofit organization

Larry Speakeasy which provides laryjectomy supplies, support, and educational

resources to laryngamines and their caregivers.

Megan is the founder and co-trainer of the Arc J program, Trismis Intervention

Certification Course for SLPs.
