We like to have them here on the show. And one of those we had earlier this morning, we talked to Michigan men's lacrosse coach, Kevin Connery, because lacrosse is a spring sport, even though they play when it's like 25 degrees outside and also a

spring sport even though they start their season in february is softball the michigan softball team is back

they went four and one in tampa last week to start the season to talk about that and their trip

coming up to houston and more we talk to michigan softball coach bonnie thole bonnie welcome back to the show

How are you? I am doing well. I'm doing well. You're right. It is winter everywhere.

And, you know, next year I think there's a little pushback to the season at least one week,

which is really helpful, not just for us and our training. It's helpful for all parts of the country.

We went down to Florida last weekend, and before we got there,

we were looking at 40-degree temperatures down there.

But it nicely warmed up for us, Ira,

and we were able to get on the field and playing in some perfect conditions there.

Low to mid-60s, which is exactly great softball playing weather.

And, you know, a great way to start our season.

Yeah, no question about it.

We had some people that were down in Florida right before you guys.

And, yeah, they experienced that 40s and 50s,

and it's not why you go to Florida, needless to say.

I'm glad you guys got great weather. And you guys got off to a great start. So it was a 4-1 record. I'm not going to go game by game. But I kind of will look at the weekend as a whole. We'll start at the plate because some familiar faces got off to some really good starts of the season. Janicea Conway,
