It is my favorite segment of the week, Top Dog of the Week, with our friends from the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

Doing outstanding. Glad to catch up with you is always starting out our conversation like we always do asking you, Wendy, is this a love train week?

But I do have a wonderful dog for you this morning, Sam, named Ube.

What?

What's his name again?

Uh-huh.

Ube.

He got his name in our shelter because he came in as a stray.

Well, sort of a stray.

He was found actually back near a dumpster of a pet supply store. I might as well reveal what it, Pet Supplies Plus here locally. And some very kind people who work at the store took him in, brought him in, took care of him for the day, gave him some wet food, poor thing.

He scored, you know, we score animals on a body condition score.

It's a BCS, a body condition score, and it's out of one to nine, and nine means overweight, and, you know, five, six is great weight

and all that.
