In case you missed it, Notre Dame takes down Penn State last night, 27 to 24.

This is after being down 10 to 3 at halftime and being basically left for dead offensively.

If you listen to the commentary at halftime from Nick Saban to Herb Street, Desmond,

they're like, what are they going to be able to do

offensively? They have no offensive threats. They got, they got to find a way to run the

football. They have no, no, no one that could really put any fear into this Penn State defense.

Meanwhile, Penn State was able to run the football,

but Drew Aller had done nothing. He was like five for 13. Like, you know, Penn State was

able to run the football. They were able to rush the passer. They had knocked, they had knocked Riley

Leonard out of the game.

But, you know, for everything, the difference in the game to me was that they, they were able to really run the football.

And if Notre Dame could figure out how to plug that better, this could be a game.

And they got the ball for, they were able to kick that field goal, heading into the break.

And they came out if they were able to put together a drive, that first drive of the second half,

like so often is the case if you get the ball.

That first series, whether it's offense or defense, it's so huge. And they went right down

the field. They went right down the field. The story of the game is a heck of a half, the story of

the season for them. And what a heck of a job by Marcus Freeman because that that team could

easily folded. You didn't even know if Riley Leonard was going to be able to play. They were talking
