Sam Webb, Mr. Irointraub on the other side, there's so much action to recount from the weekend.

It's like you realize there's that much action every weekend.

We're just always so hyper-focused on Michigan

that we wind up spreading everything else out.

But man, this was an eventful weekend.

How did you feel about the Tigers celebrating the wild card?

I was a little bit like, why are we jumping up and down over the worst collapse in history?

But then the flip side of it is, hey, the guys needed a mental break.

They needed some sort of feel-good moment.

And they didn't collapse so bad that they missed the playoffs.

So that's something to celebrate, right? I think that it's really just about tradition. I, I've thought about this for the last few years as I've watched teams like, you know, clinch a wildcard spot or win a wild card round and they're popping champagne. I don't get it. I've been in the locker room like when the wings won the Stanley Cup final. Like, I get that. That the, you're celebrating the actually winning a championship. I can go back in the history of baseball and understand when you won the pennant and you clinch it over everybody in your league and you're going to the World Series. The tradition started. Sure, I can get that, I guess. But now you're, there's six teams making the playoffs. And you just clinced a spot. You clearly clinched the last spot. And you didn't really win anything. You just clinched a spot in the postseason. And maybe if you want to pop them because you go to Cleveland and win two games there and you win the series, maybe you're going to whoever wins that series will pop champagne because that's how you do it. I do think it's over. I slow it down. I think that champagne to clinching a wild card spot, champagne to win a wild card series, maybe even for the divisional round. Like I just totally unnecessary. Yeah. But I guess if it does reset them in this case for these guys, maybe, I guess. They were smart to, and they almost won the game yesterday anyway, but they were not,

they were smart to not pitch Scoobble yesterday.

Because in the end, now if they, if it was just a Tigers win, won you to division and

nothing else mattered, then maybe you still pitch them, but with Cleveland needing to,

you know, needing to lose in that scenario, you would not have Terryrick School this series if he pitched yesterday. So you have to choose one or the other, and it was not a make-or-break game. So they made the right decision. They clinched it on Saturday, and as you said, they popped the champagne. I mean, it's like, did they win the division? It's just tradition. Every playoff,, every, clinching a playoff spot, winning a playoff round, it's all, baseball has been doing that for years. I do, but I do think it's a little overkill for clenching a wild card spot, especially to your point, when at one point in time you had the, the last record in baseball and the largest division lead in baseball, and you didn't win your division. You just clinched a wild card spot.

Yeah, context means everything.

You know, popping champagne when you clinch a wild card spot last year.
