The next two hours is going to feel like a week because we're going to be joined by Michael Spas, Steve Clark, Scott Bell, Eric Adelson, and John Eubak.

And so to kick us off our nearly week's worth of guests in about two hours of time, we go inside the huddle with Michael Spath.

Mike, good morning. How are you?

I'm doing great.

Yeah, I mean, Christmas week or holiday week, whatever you guys, you know,

everybody celebrates and lots to talk about in the lion,

ball and college ball.

Yeah, a lot to discuss cell phone cut out for a second hopefully it'll be all right there so yeah let's let's jump right in with the college football so we had our first ever

opening round games of a 12 team college football playoff and none of them were close in fact by

number the closest one was the one that was the first one that everybody

was complaining about first.

And I'm so sick and tired of the SEC whining.

I'm actually tired of just about all the whining about it as far as who should have been

or who shouldn't have been.

The fact is there were too many teams in it anyway.

What were people expecting from the first round game is Mike? In the past, the median margin of victory in the 21st round games of the 14 college football

playoff era was 17 points. And this was only a little bit more. What do they expect when they

added more teams who were obviously not as good? What were we expecting in the first round?

Yeah, I guess we weren't expecting this.

You know, I think everybody kind of hoped that, like in the NFL playoffs, the lower

sheet has pulled off some really impressive upsets over the years.
