And it's that time of the day on a Wednesday in the 8 o'clock hour that we get to go inside the huddle with our friend Michael Spath.

Mike, good morning.

How are you?

I'm doing great, guys.

Yeah, certainly the spirits have been lifted after a good weekend and a lot of excitement for two really big

games if you are a local Detroit sports fan with Michigan, obviously, and the lion.

So, Mike, wanted to get your impressions as you came out of last weekend's game.

I know there are a lot of folks who had given up any notion or idea that Michigan was going to utilize Bryce in any way beyond how they had used them to start the season.

Coming out of it.

Are you convinced now that that is moving forward?

And what did you think of young Bryce Underwood's legs and how much of an impact that can have on Michigan's offense moving forward?

Well, how many Michigan fans watched what Bryce Underwood did on Saturday and said, oh, my gosh, finally, we have one of these.

We have one of these quarterbacks who has, you know, tremendous instincts and can pull the ball down and run with it.

I mean, as great as your Monday morning quarterback, DeNard Robinson is, you know, he was much more of a true

read-option quarterback than a scrambler.

Devin was more of a scrambler than a, and he was a read-option quarterback, too, but it's

been a minute since Michigan has really had, you know, this kind of quarterback.

I mean, even JJ didn't do it a ton.

I know that, you know, his comments from Moore's he wanted to do it more.

So I believe it because the commentary after the game from Biff Pogie, the comments earlier

this week from Biff Poggi were not like, hey, you know, we thought we could utilize that in this game because of the matchups, right? A lot of times you hear that from coaches talk about a specific matchup with a specific defense and team. And instead, it's much more of we learned a lesson. We learn like, we've got to turn this young man loose. There's no, what was the thing yesterday? We're not putting any handcuffs on him the rest of the season.
