Mike, good morning. How are you?

Doing well, guys. We've, it's been gorgeous out lately. So it's always, you know,

always a good way to start the morning and in a good mood. Yeah, my friend, glad that you could

join us and offer you or offer us your perspective. We've been over the last couple of weeks.

It's not a topic that is a favorite of yours, but it has been a top of the mind, top of mind topic.

And that is college football's ongoing discussion about expansion, playoff expansion.

What's noteworthy today is something that we predicted.

I don't know if it came through when you and I were on last week, but we predicted it would

be the case that the Big Ten and the SEC would be strange bedfellows on this, that they would

be a united front in voicing their disagreement and their displeasure with this proposed bill, which would make it

dead on arrival because the other conferences signed on and showed their support on Q,

the Big Ten and the SEC, with the SEC, according to Ira, giving the Big Ten top billing,

says, yes, this is not good for us.

It's not good for college football.

We are opposed to this.

I'm paraphrasing for you, Mike.

Do you think that will essentially kill this bill?

Well, I mean, yes, right?

I mean, if you've got the two most powerful conferences that are essentially saying, like, we don't like this.

You know, last time I checked the one of the senators who is sponsoring is Ted Cruz, and he's from the state of Texas, and Texas and Texas A&M are both SEC schools.

And so I can't imagine that he is going to, he's going to continue to push legislation that the two biggest schools in his state, you know, from the conference that is, that is representative of his state, is saying, no, we're not, we're not interested in this.
