Well, when Ms. is here and it's time for Inside the Huddle, we get some extra Inside the Huddle music. If I wasn't in here, it would just be a regular bumper, but I know whenever we got my guy. I know. You got to take over the DJ controls and that's what we do and that's great. That's the introduction for Inside the Huddle with our friend Michael Spath. Mike, good morning. How are you? I'm doing well, guys.

Yeah, I always appreciate that.

It always makes me harken back to the good old days with Ms.

sitting in the producer chair for Inside the Huddl and Zach and Brandon.

And so, yeah, I had so much fun for all those years.

And I always appreciate getting a chance to talk to guys. There you go. There you go. It's a little bit of nostalgia. And that's starting

to fall into more nostalgia now because we're, it's been a minute. But you've been doing this

segment now for on this show since then. And we love having you on every Wednesday. A lot to

discuss. We'll start on the pro ranks.

We'll move our way down to the college ranks.

Quickly on the Tigers, got a little optimism.

Terrick Scoobel with the, apparently the Scoobel scope is its own little thing.

And modern medicine allows them to basically pinprick his elbow, pull out a loose body,

and they expect him back soon. My question for you, Mike, is it going to be too little too late when he comes back because the team seems to be in somewhat of a tailspin? Yeah, I mean, they're scuffling big time. I think I saw their loss 11 of 16 and at least, you know, six of their last seven. Obviously, some of the loss has been extremely disheartening.

You're getting your butt kicked by a really bad Mets team,

and you get swept by a really bad Boston team.

But then again, the Tigers are really bad right now.

So I don't know.

I mean, you know, to have as many guys on the injured list as they do, it feels a little bit like the lines of a couple years ago where they're snake bitten.

You know, the central is such a bad division that is, if they can find some way to stabilize even a little bit and win, you know, four out of every 10 or something like that. I feel like they're going to be okay when a lot of those guys come back. But, you know, in terms of like being a fan and, yeah, I always look at it like, is someone worth my time? If I'm going to, if I'm putting the kids down to bed and I come downstairs and I want to pop on the TV. Am I turning on the Tigers right now?

And the answer is absolutely unequivocally. No, I'm not. They're not drawn any interest. And, you know, Scoobel, I mean, it's good news, but yeah, if he's not back for six weeks or

or eight weeks, you know, where are they going to be? I don't know. I really don't know. They're doing things that, you know, obviously the pitching has been bad and hitting's been hit or miss, but like the errors that they're making, I mean, it seems like every game you're going on and they're going like, oh, they had last night they gave up 10 runs, but only, you know, six of them were earned. Like what, this is uncharacteristic government. Just kind of shows like the tailspin that they're in because when you're doing, when it starts to go against you, you just start doing everything poorly. And that's, that's who they are right now. Yeah, we were talking the last couple days about this. Can they just essentially, can they tread water? You're in an American League where now there are four teams above 500.
