Hey, what's going on guys welcome back to the Mike force podcast. It is of course your

0:16.4

host Mike G back from Mexico. So if you guys are tracking all of the things that have happened

0:23.8

recently, I just got back from the rally of nations in Leon, Mexico. Start of this great adventure

0:33.5

and getting involved in international rally. I'm almost speechless based on the experience that I

0:40.4

had. It was the most exhausting experience at the same time, one of the most rewarding and fulfilling

0:46.4

things I've ever done. The way it worked was the world rally championship is held in Mexico,

0:53.4

normally, but the WRC pulled out. It's an international competition obviously. They pulled out and so

1:00.0

they're kind of revalidating that process to get everybody involved in last minute. They're like,

1:05.0

hey, let's invite the USA in all these amazing drivers and code drivers from all these countries and

1:12.3

have them come to Mexico to race in the WRC stages. So we show up and I don't know what to expect.

1:20.7

Last minute, we had border crossing issues with the team from rally ready, which is the motorsports team.

1:28.2

And Dave Derek and on the guys are Cleo, all the guys and gals are working through these issues.

1:34.3

And we don't know if we're going to have cars. So we show up on day one to Recky and I'm using

1:40.4

Matt James who is Leah Block, Ken Block's daughter's code driver and we're going through Recky,

1:46.4

not even knowing if our cars are going to show up. Barry McKinnis team had the same issues. There's

1:52.8

a whole bunch of things that had to come together perfectly for this to happen. But 16 hours of

1:58.2

Recky, I believe was 16, 17 stages, a lot of stages that we had to do reconnaissance on and fix our

2:06.9

notes because there wasn't Java notes pre-written notes were not done. So we had to go through and

2:14.2

write the notes from scratch and we did most of the stages twice. Now these are long stages. It's not

2:20.0

like American rally. These stages are 22 kilometers in length. They take 18, 16 to 20 minutes to run

2:27.8

on average and they are brutal. Oh, and by the way, they're at elevation. Me and Dave's car,

2:34.3

which were, I think the only cars that open for will drive are basically stock, they are stock
