There was actually one other piece of news from Michigan basketball yesterday. We haven't actually gotten to on the show yesterday. but Dusty May's Wolverines have been invited to the Players Era 16. So the Players Era yesterday announced they have two

tournaments that are coming up. They got really creative in their names. They have the Players

Era 8, which has eight teams in it. And the Players Era 16, which can you guess how many teams

during the Players Era 16? So, Michigan is not in in it. And the players era 16, which can you guess how many teams are in the Players Era 16? So Michigan is not in the Players Era 8 field. That is the week before

Michigan goes. It's November, it's Thanksgiving week that Michigan's going to be down there.

The week before is the eight. Michigan's playing in the 16. So it's a really cool event.

If you remember from last year, there's a lot of incentive on the line.

You can make a lot of money for obviously the schools make money.

And then there's the NIL incentives to make more money.

Michigan actually last year, there were some NIL issues.

The CSC, they caused a lot of NIL issues causing a lot of headaches.

Michigan received its base participation funds, but they had delays in getting its million dollar championship bonus, but apparently they had delays, but eventually got it. I'm surprised the CSC is causing problems. All right, that's a separate conversation. I love the players era because they play for stakes. We were just talking about grilling, weren't we? Stakes. Steaks, Not those stakes. Way to bring it back. I know. Same letters, but still spelled a little different, but stakes, they're playing for money. And they're playing for a trophy. And if you remember last year in Vegas, those guys, it pulled out the best at them. They won those games by about a thousand points combined. It was an unbelievable run over three games in Vegas. It was absolutely phenomenal. They're going back down there again this year. It's a pretty cool field. It's not, I don't know if it's more. I will see if the field ends up being as stacked and who you play against. Obviously every year it's a little bit different, but Michigan is going to open up and they're going to play Creighton in the first game. So we'll see a kind of team Creighton is this year coming out of the Big East. And then they're going to play in the, that's on November 24th. And then on the 26th, they will play. So that's what, Tuesday, Thursday, I believe. And then on November 26th, they're going to play either TCU who they played last year or Miami. Miami is an ascending program.

They had a solid year last year and a new coach. Yeah, with Tray Donaldson, too. And Tray Donaldson, exactly. Nailed it. And then so after that, Michigan's going to either play Gonzaga, Kansas State, Baylor, or Alabama based on who wins and who loses and how that shakes out in the bracket.

And then once you play that third game, depending upon how you do if you win your three games and then potentially win those games by enough, if you qualify, you would play in the championship game on November 28th.

So you have a chance to play, what, four games in five days,

which is great reps, great experience, great practice for these guys.
