I'm a retired agent writing crime fiction inspired by actual FBI cases.

In today's episode, I interview retired supervisory special agent Jim Weddick.

Jim served in the FBI for nearly 35 years

and he talks about his assignment in the late 1970s as an undercover agent in the Bureau's very first long-term international undercover investigation.

operated a sophisticated attack on organized crime networks and financial criminals using

white-collar crime violations.

He also talks about several cases that he worked when assigned to the Sacramento Division.
