He's the author of several books, including the most recent The End of Woke,

used to be a comedy writer. I don't know how much actual comedy writing he does these days.

He did used to call write a character called Jonathan Pye.

That's why he made his name.

That character was a news reporter who in clips would lose his cool

and just start ranting about politics while he was waiting for the studio to cut to him to be on air.
