Yesterday was the first day of spring practice for the Michigan football team.

Today is tomorrow is practice number two Saturday.

Third practice, I believe, is the first practice where they can put the pads on.

And so obviously into next week, just to really get to know more.

And they being the new coaching staff will really get to know about their new football

team yesterday.

Kyle Whittingham had his first media availability of the spring.

In fact, it was his first media availability here in Ann Arbor because when he had

his introductory press conference, it was down in Florida during bowl preparation during

bowl week.

But of all the takeaways and all the things that he said during his media avail yesterday,

there was obviously a lot of football on there, like the praise he has for some of the guys

like Savian Heider, being the opportunity for him to be special.

And he talks about Bryce Underwood and Jordan Marshall as a duo in the backfield.

And Bryce's dual threat ability and Jordan being his best friend as, you know, being an elite running back and all that kind of stuff.

And obviously there's a lot of football in there and we'll talk about the football stuff in there.

But sometimes I like to kind of peel back away from that and look at some of the other things that were discussed.

And it is pretty funny to hear him talk about the, you know, that he's been wearing this blue for a couple, you know, two and a half months now. And that, you know, you didn't wear blue at the previous place. It's just not how it went. You know, now he is a BYU guy. So he used to wear blue, a different shade of blue, but still he used to wear blue. And then he basically banished blue from his wardrobe by taking the job at Utah,

and he went all in at Utah, which rightfully so.

You're all bought in at your job.

So it was all about wearing red.
