And so Ira informed me this morning that I was wrong about the Big Ten.

I was wrong about Big Ten's marketing machine and hype machine.

I was stunned to see the final numbers that came in.

Indiana's Big Ten Championship victory at average 18.3 million viewers.

It peaked at 19.993 million viewers late in the game, obviously when the game was coming down to the wire. It's the most watch Big Ten championship game on record. Now, a lot of that probably has to do with the fact that divisions were so imbalanced that most Big Ten championship games weren't very close. And there was no intrigue in any of those games. But it does dispel the notion that these games don't matter because the game, as we said,

it did matter to some people and it mattered a lot of people watching.

It was the most watched college football telecaster championship weekend, period.

So despite game day being in the SEC and whatever, the number one watch game was the Big Ten
