But there was some college football news from yesterday as well that is significant and should be discussed.

The American Football Coaches Association, the AFCA, the board yesterday voted in favor of multiple changes.

They also made a recommendation.

So the recommendation that they made was the college ball playoffs should end by the second

week of January, not January 19th like it did last year or January 25th,

which I believe is the end date for the date of the championship game this upcoming season.

That's absurd.

You're talking two months after most college football teams are done playing games

of any kind of significance.

And heck, half of the college football teams are done playing games altogether.

Two months.

And not that many games later. Two months is an absurd amount of time between the end of the regular season and the end of the postseason.

It's absurd.

And so that is one of the recommendations that they made.

That's maybe the minor part of it, although I think that's important.

But there were four things they voted on yesterday that were announced.

And again, it has to then take to the next step.

This is just a vote.

This is a recommendation from the coaches.

And then it has to go to the NCAA board of governors, I believe.
